How to remove shower & bathroom mould

Mix a sachet with warm water in the supplied spray bottle, spray the affected area, wait 15 minutes and wipe clean. MOULDZAP’s clinging formula penetrates grout lines, sealant edges and painted surfaces to reach the spores that cause regrowth.

Mould shouldn’t come with harsh bleach fumes, frantic scrubbing, or the joy of watching it return three days later. We made MOULDZAP to tackle mould properly, using a chlorine-free, clean-chemistry formula (peracetic acid generated in-situ) that helps break down mould and mildew where they build up. It’s designed for bathrooms, showers, grout, tiles and damp-prone areas, giving you a powerful clean without the bleach smell or heavy chemical hit. Spray it, let it work, then wipe or rinse away. A smarter way to clean mould, without the bleach.

Instructions

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Add one sachet to a 500 ml spray bottle.
2. Fill three-quarters with warm water and shake well.
3. Leave until the blue colour turns clear.
4. Spray directly onto mould.
5. Wait 15–30 minutes.
6. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
7. Screw the trigger loose to allow off-gassing when not in use.
8. Use within 5 days of mixing for best results.

  • Will the mould come back?

    Please follow the instructions correctly when preparing. MOULDZAP works differently from traditional bleach-based cleaners. While bleach typically removes surface stains, it doesn't fully eliminate the underlying mould spores — which is why regrowth is common.

    MOULDZAP is powered by an advanced formula that generates in situ peracetic acid, allowing it to break down mould spores at their source. It also remains active on the treated surface for longer than chlorine-based products, continuing to work after application.

    In many cases, this can help keep mould away for up to 9 months, depending on environmental conditions such as moisture and ventilation.

    In short: Bleach treats the surface. MOULDZAP targets the root cause.

  • Is it safe on grout, silicone, and painted surfaces?

    It won't damage silicone seals, grout or paint (unlike bleach). Mould grown inside silicone usually needs the seal replaced — no surface cleaner removes it. On every other surface MOULDZAP removes mould and helps prevent regrowth.

  • How long does it need to sit?

    Spray, wait 15–30 minutes, then wipe. For stubborn black mould that's been there a while, leave it the full 30 minutes or reapply once. You don't need to scrub hard — the formula does the work.

  • Does it have a strong smell?

    No. There's a vinegar scent rather than bleach fumes — and we recommend providing ventilation while you use it. If you've used bleach-based mould sprays before, you'll notice the difference immediately.

  • Will it work on ceiling mould in a steamy bathroom?

    Yes. Spray directly, wait, wipe with a damp cloth. If your bathroom stays damp long-term, you're fighting moisture not mould — improve ventilation at the same time and MOULDZAP will help break the regrowth cycle.
